HELPING COMMUNITIES

SHUCYCLE

We collect and distribute essential items to children and families in need. Our main focus is on children's footwear, especially school shoes, but we also provide coats, books, hats, and gloves. We also welcome other gently used items that could make thoughtful gifts.

So far we have been able to donate over 400 pairs of School Shoes!

When we visit Kenya, we take the shoes with us to ensure they reach the schools and children directly.

Their old, worn shoes are replaced with new ones — thanks to your generous donations, these children in Kenya are given the same protection for their feet as those in the UK.

Light up a child's life

What is Light up a Child's life?

Aim: To donate 1,000 solar lights to families near Mombasa, Kenya. They are living without electricity and this will greatly improve their lives.

The Rotary Club of Godalming has launched a vital fundraising campaign to purchase 1,000 solar lights for families of students attending Jolaurabi School, a charity-run school (www.educatethekids.com) in Bamburi, Mombasa, Kenya.

LIGHT UP A CHILD'S LIFE

These children live without access to electricity, limiting their ability to study after dark and will allow them to get un/dressed in the dark. Having light will increase safety in their homes.

By replacing the current harmful and expensive kerosene lamps with clean, renewable solar lighting, we aim to empower students with the opportunity to thrive academically and support healthier living environments.
